Before Care: Fee $60
For the hour prior to the start of camps, we will provide supervised quiet reading time. Campers bring their own books.
P-A-L (Puzzles-Art-Lunch)
Fee: $395 for 10 day camps, $360 for 9 day camps
P-A-L is the morning option when your child is enrolled in an afternoon academic camp.
Campers begin their day with Puzzle Piazza - A Problem-Solving Picnic for Kids,
where they choose from a wide spread of puzzles, mostly 3-D ones,
ranging in difficulty from easy to extremely challenging. They keep
back-of-the-napkin notes on their progress and successes, and finish
with a basketful of general problem-solving strategies applicable to
puzzles, math, school, and life.
Following an outdoor break, they proceed to Artrageously Artsy - Art with a Mathematical Twist,
where they do art projects, each with a mathematical connection. They
get the point, explore lines, and create geometric masterpieces as they
discover how closely math and art are linked. From Pointillism to
Pentagons to the People who did it, each day's project gives your child
an artistic view of math. The morning concludes with a lunch brought
from home.
P-A-L is appropriate for campers of all ages.
