One of the primary goals at each MathTree camp is to make learning math fun! We believe that when your child is having fun and learning, they will want to keep doing math!
It All Adds Up To a Summer of Fun
Choose the right math camp experience by starting with the grade your child will enter in the fall.
for children entering Grade 2
Rising 2nd graders are guided through the essential regrouping process used in addition and subtraction, and gain a solid understanding of the underlying concept of place value. Real beans, test tubes, and literature are used to help your child grasp these foundational concepts.
for children entering Grades 5–7
This camp uses the MathTree® Skill System to enrich, review, or remediate your camper’s math skills. It customizes to meet each camper where they are. Skills include the four basic operations plus fractions, decimals, and percents. Advanced campers grow skills in integers, absolute value, order of operation, exponents, radicals, and complex fractions.
for children in Grades 7, 8, 9
Individually, campers works on refreshing, sharpening, and extending math skills that will prepare them for Algebra 1. In group activities, campers work on building a vocabulary and number sense that will build a strong math foundation. Campers explore exponents, order of operations, functions, integers, and more.
